Just a quick how-de-do
House O Piles

Guest Photographer

While I am on hiatus, my sister, Marietta has contributed this photography post about her trip to the South Street Seaport with the nieces. (Mar is the single sister who is our very own Auntie Mame). And thank god for her or I'd never be able to work in peace all summer while The Little One was stuck at home - or worse, in a dreaded day camp! (Her dread, not mine).

Fulton Fish market where our grandfather bought his
fish to peddle off a truck every day.

The Shark - cruises between the seaport and
the Statue of Liberty and guaranteed to make you
soaking wet - if you volunteer for the outside
seat like the Little One.

The "cousins". When they are not busy
conspiring against one another (avoid the rule
of 3 with girls), they are quite charming
and loving friends. The Little One is on the left,
then Stephanie, then Laura. May I remind
you all of how they looked about ten years
ago:

The line up here is Steph, Laura, Julia.
My, how they have grown! (don't all
adults routinely say that to embarrass
kids?)

Must go back to hiatus - conserving energy
for digital posting from the Cape.

Psst - Blackbird and I are meeting in Wellfleet. There
will be photos - cleverly cropped of course!
