Whew
December 12, 2006
Having a deadline right before Christmas is a double time crunch. But the artwork is on its way and I just have to edit the essay tonight. Of course, I can't walk into my art room since it is littered and I mean trashed with paint, brushes, decorative papers, collage images, and hundreds of little snips of paper all over the floor.
And I didn't even work in there.
No - kidding!
This presents a problem (pun intended) because I usually put the kids presents in there away from prying eyes. Yes, they are pretty big for snooping behavior, but knowing myself, you are never too big. My mother used to put the gifts in a storage closet in our basement. I never figured out where she put the key, though I sure looked everywhere. She must have had it around her neck all month. When we were teens, she just put the gifts behind the chair in her room. Boy, was I disappointed on Christmas when all the gifts I looked at had gone to different sisters and not me! So I take nothing for granted, but this year, I am putting them on the honor system since I still haven't had time to move them in there. And Mystery Man isn't home yet and he is the biggest snoop most curious of all.
My plan for tonight is to write Christmas cards. And make dinner.
Baby steps, people, holiday baby steps!
